Church Leadership
Dr. Rodney Pensel Pastor Rodney Pensel is a licensed minister through the United Church of Christ. He holds a B.S. in Speech Communication, a M.A. in Educational Administration and a Specialist in Educational Administration from Southeast Missouri State University. He also holds an Educational Doctorate in Education Leadership from Arkansas State Univeristy. He is semi-retired as a middle school prinicipal in public school settings and teaches part-time in the department of education at Southeast Missouri State University. In 2005 the Missouri Mid-South Conference of the United Church of Christ granted licensure for Rodney to pastor at St. John's. He has been serving in a bi-vocational capacity since that time. |
Pam Pensel Choir director Pam Pensel is a certificated business education teacher at Cape Girardeau Central High School. While not a music major she has always been involved in church music either directing or singing with Miner Baptist or Lynwood Baptist Choirs. She also sang with the former community choirs in Sikeston and Cape as well as being an active choir member in her church in Washington D. C. while she was working in the office of the Congressman Bill Emerson. |
Lydia Pensel Children's Church Lydia Pensel is a freshman at Southeast Missouri State University majoring in History. She is a graduate of Jackson High School where she participated in Chamber Choir, Women's Choir, Band, Debate, National Honor Society and Spanish Club. She loves working with children and has found children's church to be challenging and inspiring. |
